Awesome

Wow, Hi everyone.....

It has been quite a while since I have had time to get to my blog!!!  Between remodeling, spring cleaning, and getting ready for all the summer trips coming up, I have been one busy girl.  I entered into another quest at Soul Scrappers ,( I explained these quest's in a earlier post).  This quest was to center around clowns and they sent the following embellies to place on you project: strip of striped pp, straw, stars, gold doily, balloon sticker, plastic tee label, red pom pom, party table scatters, rubber balloon, scalloped circles.

My daughter and grandson at the Shriners Circus, her close friend is the clown. I was able to use all the items I received.  Some where out of my comfort zone, but I was able to make something with each item.

I used stem wire to form balloons, and covered them with the rubber balloon.

I placed the scalloped circles onto each homemade balloon, I also placed the balloon sticker amongst the homemade balloons.

I cut this cute clown out using my cricut air, I then added the little red pom pom onto the hat.

The straw was cut in half and glued onto the bottom of the page, you can also see the stars, gold doily and some of the scatters.

The clowns passed out autographed cards to the kids, which I placed onto the plastic tee.

see you soon.....

Memory

Hi everyone, what a beautiful weekend!!!!!  Now time to relax and do some blogging.  Here is a layout that was entered at Turtle Soup, check them out lots of fun challenges.  Here is my layout:

This picture was taken around 1958, my Mom, Dad and Uncle Kick.  I just love to see my parents in photo's like this. I so enjoyed doing this page. Doily, die cuts, and fibers are just some of the embellies that where added.

I used this die to cut these flowers out of some music paper. I then inked the edges using distressed ink (tea dye).

A close up of one of my flowers, this one I put together with an antique brad.

These are the two smaller flowers.  I used a gem brad for the center of these.

Just love these photo corners,  love the look that they add to the page.

supplies:
MME pp, die cuts, home made flowers, brads, metal photo corners, doily, distress ink

So Very Blessed

Hi, I am back with a layout. This page was entered into a sketch challenge at Turtle Soup, check them out and join in the fun!!!!

My sister and her daughter-in-law, posing for the camera.  I just love this photo of the two of them..

I just love to make my own embellies, so here are some flowers that I made for this layout.  They start out white, then add the color with watercolor pencils, then blend with an aqua pen (or whatever you may have).

Here is a close up of the finished flower, I added some homemade gems to center. And then put ribbon, gauze and a butterfly around them to form this little cluster.

I have had this peacock for sometime now. The color worked great with this layout and added a little something extra.

I like this chalk board look with the faux sewing, it really pops with the black background.

thank you for stopping by, see you soon............
