Birthday Wishes

The card that I made, is using a new (to me) technique.  This is something that I would like to practice more with.  I love the end result, I entered this card into a challenge over at Soul Scrappers .  And, here is my card....

This card was made, using the technique emboss resist.

First I cut all my layers, this way I had the right size for my stamping.

Your first step is to stamp your image onto your cardstock, I used versamark. Then use a clear or white embossing powder.

You then apply your ink, these are the ones I choose for this image.

I then took a cloth and wiped over the top of the image.  And, wow it just pops right out, Love it!!

I then put the rest of the card together. Adding ribbon and some gems.

supplies used:
Color core cardstock. ribbon, gems, multiple inks,

see you soon!!!!!

Adorable

Good Morning,

What a wonderful, productive week-end, picked up the walls for my bathroom.  I can't wait for it to start coming together.  Later today I will be doing the ceiling so it will dry in time to lay the floor. But, in the mean time !!! I did this layout for a challenge at Turtle Soup , head over and check them out, a wonderful scrapbooking site!!!

my layout:

This is my grandson, helping his Grampy cut down and clean up a tree.

I wanted to use these cute little buttons for my layout, but did not like the color.

I used this mega-flake set to change their appearance. ( just love what this does to any item)

You first apply the glu,

You then put you mega-flake onto the glued part.

After all glu is covered with mega-flake, you sand (sanding pad comes with kit) for a shiny look.  It is very hard to see the transformation in these buttons, but it is beautiful!!!

I applied distressed ink to the lace and flowers.

I also added gems to the center of the flowers, and ran jute cord from flower to flower.

supplies:
mulberry paper flowers, MME paper, buttons, mega-flake, gems, jute cord, ribbon

see you soon!!!!!

Remember This

Back with one more Layout that was submitted to Soul Scrappers for their " Mark Your Calendar " challenge.  If you would like to play along go Here... for a chance to win a prize.  Here is my Layout

Remember This

My step grandson when he was little.  When he came over he would crawl up onto the bench in the kitchen where my cat would be sitting on the window sill.  And, he would say kiss kitty, kiss kitty.  It was so cute, the cat would just stare at him.

I used the Kreaxions circle cutter to make this half circle, this tool is so handy.

This dragon fly was fussy cut from my cardstock, and I glued a dew drop onto the body.

My rosette's where made using the  Tim Holtz Rosette Die, I place a button onto the larger one and a homemade gem onto the smaller one. ( yes, I see where the rosette came apart LOL, I fixed after I saw this picture).!!!

My small cluster was put together with this cute little brad, and you can see one of the glitter dots to the left, I placed a few around my layout.

Baby Boy

Hi,

I am back with a Layout that was submitted to Soul Scrappers for there Song Lyrics Challenge if you would like to play along go here..   for the Challenge..

Here is my layout:

Baby Boy

I used the Lyrics ( Your little hand's wrapped around my finger) in the Quote, which reads. " Your little hand's wrapped around my finger and from the moment you where born it was wrapped around my Heart!!!".  This is my First Grandson, and he melts my heart everyday.

I just loved how he wrapped his little hand around my finger.  This was 9 hrs after he was born and he was taken to a larger hospital for a lung problem which they where able to take care of.  I followed him down to this hospital and stayed right by his side, A Grammy's love is like no other.

When I saw this Mambi paper from Me & My Big Ideas Baby Boy collection  I fell in love with it.

This is a close up of him holding my finger and the quote with the Lyric's " Your little hand's wrapped around my finger" from the song,   Never Grow Up...

supplies used:
Paper- Me & My Big ideas Mambi Baby Boy sheets, studio g gems, Jolee's ribbon bow, cardstock
